A comprehensive workshop designed to help you better understand the needs of your changing (prenatal) body. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi looking for ways to safely modify your practice, this workshop will provide you with the tools you need to feel comfortable and fit throughout your pregnancy, and feel strong and confident during labour and birth. Open to women in all stages of pregnancy (including pre-conception).
This workshop will be divided into 2 parts:
1) We will learn and practice the important postures and movements most beneficial in a prenatal practice, and discuss in detail the postures and movements that should be avoided and why.
2) Hear from Registered Midwife Tylee Maracle about prenatal health and fitness and its importance and effect on both mama and baby’s health pre and postnatally. There will be some time for Q&As.
Date: Saturday November 4th, 2017
Location: Pure Yoga Centretown (359 Bank Street)
